The Kalita Wave is one of specialty coffee's most loved pour over drippers, used by café baristas and home brewers for great results without perfect pouring. This stainless steel version is made in Japan and built to last.
CHOOSE YOUR SIZE
- 155: 1–2 cups (about 350–470 ml). For your daily single cup.
- 185: 2–4 cups (about 470–770 ml). Most popular. One big mug or coffee to share.
WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT
✅ Flat-bottom design: an even, level coffee bed for a sweet, balanced and consistent cup every time.
✅ 3 small holes: control the flow and forgive uneven pouring. Ideal for beginners and pros.
✅ Wave filter system: the 20-fold Wave filter keeps the paper off the walls for less heat loss and a smooth, even flow.
✅ Stainless steel: tough, rust-resistant and hard to break. Great for home, café and travel.
✅ Sits directly on mugs, servers and decanters. Dishwasher safe.

HOW TO BREW
1. Place the Wave filter in the dripper and rinse with hot water to preheat and remove paper taste. Discard the water. Don't press the filter flat; keep its wave shape.
2. Add medium ground coffee (like coarse sea salt) and shake to level.
3. Bloom: pour about twice the coffee weight in water at 90–96°C and wait 30–40 seconds.
4. Pour slowly in small circles in the centre, in stages, to your target amount.
5. Let it drain, remove the dripper and enjoy!
Starting recipes (ratio about 1:16):
- 155: 15 g coffee : 240 ml water (about 3 min)
- 185: 25 g coffee : 400 ml water (about 3.5–4 min)
Too bitter? Grind coarser. Too sour or weak? Grind finer.
CARE
- Hand wash with mild soap or use the dishwasher.
- Mineral build-up? Soak in equal parts water and vinegar for 15 minutes, then rinse.
- The base gets hot, please handle with care
